An abundance of trees and acres of rustic countryside surround the 1899 Farmhouse, providing a beautiful setting for your outdoor wedding. The historic, vintage farmhouse was built in 1899 in McKinney, Tx. and moved to its current 11 acre property in 1979. Richard & Shea Lyn purchased the old house and property in 2008, transforming it into the most unique wedding venue in all of Texas. The farmhouse is reserved for the bridal party, providing a beautiful bridal suite and plenty of room for the girls to relax and prepare for the big day. A 6,000 square foot, rustic-elegant reception pavilion sets just behind the house, adjacent to a beautifully manicured lawn and white gazebo. Within the pavilion is a spacious and rustic groom’s room with comfortable seating and TV.
The very first wedding took place on the front porch of the Farmhouse in March, 2009. Since then, hundreds of couples have enjoyed the peaceful country setting as they said their vows at various ceremony sites around the property. Whether you’re looking for a casual country setting or a more sophisticated atmosphere, the rustic elegance of the 1899Farmhouse is the perfect place. The venue is easily accessible from Dallas, Plano, Allen, McKinney, Garland, Wylie, Anna, Prosper, Denton and Greenville.
