Bales of Hay Rustic Outdoor Wedding Decor

Tree Stumps Rustic Outdoor Wedding Decor

Tree stumps continue to be popular outdoor wedding décor.  In numerous weddings, they were used to display flowers, lanterns, or candle holders down the aisle, at the back of the aisle, and around rustic arbors.  To add a special rustic touch, the stumps were used as flower vases at some weddings. The stumps were various sizes and were from various types of trees.  Check with your wedding planner or tree trimming companies about purchasing or obtaining free tree trunks.

Fence Posts/Weathered Planks Rustic Outdoor Wedding Decor

Fence posts and weathered planks were also used as outdoor wedding décor at weddings at 1899 Farmhouse.  The wooden posts and planks were used to display the wedding schedule and to welcome guests. They were also used to display messages, such as:

  • We love Him because he first loved us
  • You & Me
  • Welcome to our wedding! Friends of the bride and friends of the groom, please sit together. There’s plenty of room.

Some of the signs were placed on the grass and one was hung from the ceiling of a rustic, tin-roof arbor where the couple exchanged vows.
